Red Class have been getting ready to move into Orange Class over the past two weeks. We have visited the lovely Miss Gallagher and shown her how amazing we are and what great learners we can be. In class we have been doing lots of handwriting and reading so that we are ready for learning in Year 1. Mrs Fiske, Mrs Crane and Mrs Mayhew all know we are going to love it in Orange class but will miss our smiling faces every day.

This week we changed our focus from shadows to under the sea. We have been reading the book 'Tiddler', it's about a little fish who is always late for school and makes up various stories to stop himself getting in trouble. We have had great fun acting out the story on our stage outside. We have also been writing about what we see in the Summer and have put them up in the classroom for everybody to read. Unfortunately the computer wasn't being kind today and wouldn't allow us to post any photo's! Keep your fingers crossed for next week.

We started the final half term this week and decided we would like to learn all about the season Summer. Thankfully the sun shone and we learnt all about shadows. We made big shadows and little shadows and strange shaped shadows. Lets hope the sun shines for the rest of the term so we can be outside.

we have been reading 'The Train Ride' this half term and last week in assembly we read the story with actions to our friends and families. This week we have been busy writing our own version of the story. We kept some of the story the same but changed other parts. Some of the things we saw were, "pigs playing in the mud", "a butterfly flying by", "a ship sailing by", "a toad jumping", "a parrot sitting on a tree", "a bee buzzing by the town", "a crocodile snapping all around", "ducks running around", "a racing car racing", "dogs barking loudly", "a unicorn flying in the sky", "a jungle full of animals", "ducks swimming on the pond", "sheep", "a lion roaring at me", "flamingos standing on one leg" and "some sheep running up the hill." Finally we all you have a fantastic half term.
