Red Class have been getting ready to move into Orange Class over the past two weeks. We have visited the lovely Miss Gallagher and shown her how amazing we are and what great learners we can be. In class we have been doing lots of handwriting and reading so that we are ready for learning in Year 1. Mrs Fiske, Mrs Crane and Mrs Mayhew all know we are going to love it in Orange class but will miss our smiling faces every day.

The story 'Tiddler has inspired us even more this week and we have been busy writing our own stories about Tiddler and his adventures under the sea. We also all got involved in our first ever Sports Day and we had great fun taking part in all the activities and races at the end.
This week we changed our focus from shadows to under the sea. We have been reading the book 'Tiddler', it's about a little fish who is always late for school and makes up various stories to stop himself getting in trouble. We have had great fun acting out the story on our stage outside. We have also been writing about what we see in the Summer and have put them up in the classroom for everybody to read. Unfortunately the computer wasn't being kind today and wouldn't allow us to post any photo's! Keep your fingers crossed for next week.

We started the final half term this week and decided we would like to learn all about the season Summer. Thankfully the sun shone and we learnt all about shadows. We made big shadows and little shadows and strange shaped shadows. Lets hope the sun shines for the rest of the term so we can be outside.

we have been reading 'The Train Ride' this half term and last week in assembly we read the story with actions to our friends and families. This week we have been busy writing our own version of the story. We kept some of the story the same but changed other parts. Some of the things we saw were, "pigs playing in the mud", "a butterfly flying by", "a ship sailing by", "a toad jumping", "a parrot sitting on a tree", "a bee buzzing by the town", "a crocodile snapping all around", "ducks running around", "a racing car racing", "dogs barking loudly", "a unicorn flying in the sky", "a jungle full of animals", "ducks swimming on the pond", "sheep", "a lion roaring at me", "flamingos standing on one leg" and "some sheep running up the hill." Finally we all you have a fantastic half term.

How lucky we were this week. We all got to go on a trip to Sheringham Park. There was so much to see and do. We got to travel there on a coach and then hunted for bugs, we found worms, woodlice, centipedes, spiders, slugs and a daddy long legs. We also made a flower, a spider, a butterfly and a stickman in environmental art. We used stones, sticks, leaves, pussy willow and anything we could find in the environment. Everybody had a great day and all the adults said how well behaved we were.
Unfortunately the computers are playing up this week which means we can't upload any pictures. However we had a lovely day this week when the children from Catfield came to join us for the day. We really enjoyed making new friends, playing outside in the sun and showing them all the exciting things we have to play and learn with at Sutton.

This week Archie's dad, Farmer Ben brought his John Deere tractor to school. It was HUGE! we had a fantastic time exploring it and climbing into the cab.

What a glorious week we have had. The sun has shone and we have been able to get outside and use the guttering and water, the trikes and lots lots more. We also had a visit from Simone who introduced us to Benjamin and Bethany Bear. She explained how to stay safe on the road.
